The college unveiled a new snarling wildcat mascot and a new “wordmark” that aim to make Davidson stick out.

The school said the branding images reflect the dynamic qualities that help define the Davidson experience.

The proposal by the accrediting arm of the American Bar Association comes in the wake of multiple incidents of law school students shouting down speakers. Law schools may soon be required to adopt written free speech policies under a proposal being considered by the American Bar Association. The potential changes come after, but are not a direct consequence of, multiple high-profile incidents of student disruptions of speakers at law schools prompted widespread debates about free speech, academic freedom and students’ right to protest.

Emory University’s art museum wanted only the finest artifacts. Hundreds of them are tied to convicted and alleged traffickers.
