The latest Inside Higher Ed Survey of College and University Presidents finds weak support for tenure, high confidence in financial stability and concerns about a lack of progress on student mental health issues. College presidents showed tepid support for tenure with a little more than a third agreeing that the pros outweigh the cons, according to Inside Higher Ed’s 2025 Survey of College and University Presidents, conducted with Hanover Research and released in full today. That was just one of many findings across the annual survey, now in its 15th year.
