A Harvard University professor was charged Tuesday with lying about his ties to a Chinese-run recruitment program and concealing payments he received from the Chinese government for research.

The student government board for the University of North Carolina system is calling for an investigation into allegations that two East Carolina University trustees tried to influence a student election.

The plaintiff calls himself “one of the world’s leading experts in the field of metabolism.”

Miami University confirmed in a statement Tuesday that two individuals, identified as a “student and his traveling partner” who recently returned from China were being tested for coronavirus.

"We have received reports from parents, new members and anonymous sources centered around excessive alcohol consumption, drug use, and hazing," Lehigh president John D. Simon and Ricardo Hall, vice president for student affairs said in an email to the university community Tuesday.
