Family income should not be a predictor of college success.

Douglas Hodge, the former chief executive of the investment firm Pimco, has agreed to plead guilty to participating in what prosecutors say is the largest college admissions scam uncovered in the United States, according to a court filing on Thursday.

The graffiti was discovered Tuesday on whiteboards hanging on doors in one dormitory at the South Carolina university.

The university already had suspended 15 intrafraternity council chapters and its marching band also is under investigation over hazing allegations.
